Verse 1

विश्वावासाय विश्वेश्वराय विश्वसंभवाय विश्वपतये नमः शिवाय । भवनाशाय भवाय भावगम्याय भक्तानां भयहराय नमः शिवाय ॥१॥

• Meaning: Salutations to Lord Shiva, who is the abode of the universe, the Lord of the universe, the origin of the universe, and the master of the universe. Salutations to the destroyer of worldly existence (Bhava), the embodiment of existence, the one attained through pure devotion, and the dispeller of fear for His devotees.

Verse 2

सद्भक्तिरताय सदाशान्ताय सर्वसाक्षिणे सर्वप्रियाय नमः शिवाय । सर्वरूपाय सर्वज्ञाय सर्वहितेरताय सर्वसंभवाय नमः शिवाय ॥२॥

जगदुत्पत्तिस्थितिसंहारकारिणे त्रिनेत्राय त्रिशूलधराय नमः शिवाय । शर्वाय शर्वाण्याः पतये शशिशेखराय नमः शिवाय ॥३॥

• Meaning: Salutations to the creator, sustainer, and destroyer of the universe, the three-eyed one who holds the trident. Salutations to Sharva (Shiva), the consort of Sharvani (Parvati), and the one adorned with the crescent moon on His crest.

गङ्गाधराय गङ्गातीरनिवासिने कालमृत्युकर्मनाशाय नमः शिवाय । कैलाशवासिने कृपानिधये करुणाकराय नमः शिवाय ॥४॥

• Meaning: Salutations to the bearer of the Ganga, the resident of the banks of the Ganga, and the destroyer of time, death, and karma. Salutations to the dweller of Mount Kailash, the ocean of mercy, and the embodiment of compassion.

संसारासासारनिवारकाय संतापहराय सदाशिवाय नमः शिवाय । महेश्वराय महासेनाधिपाय महामृतेश्वराय नमः शिवाय ॥५॥

• Meaning: Salutations to Him who removes the illusory essence of worldly life, destroys distress, and is eternally auspicious (Sadashiva). Salutations to Maheshwara, the leader of the great divine forces (Mahasena), and the Lord of great immortality.
